How much time should I allow to get to the Spa? Please plan to arrive at Spa LaPosada no later than 15 minutes prior to your first treatment time. Each appointment is precisely timed so if you arrive late, your spa service time may be shortened. In the event that you are late to an appointment, we will do our best to accommodate you but we can not guarantee your full service time.

What should I wear to the spa and bring with me? Spa LaPosada is a casual environment – we recommend dressing in casual, comfortable clothing. We provide bathrobes and sandals. Please dress to your comfort level.
All jewelry and other personal belongings should be removed prior to spa services, but it is preferred that they be left at home. Spa LaPosada is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Are cell phones and pagers allowed in the Spa? Out of respect of all guests, we kindly ask that cell phones and pagers be turned off upon entering the spa.

How can I change or cancel my spa appointment? We require a 24 hour notice for any cancellations or appointment changes. To change or cancel your appointment(s), call your Spa LaPosada location. All appointments are subject to our Cancellation Policy and gift certificate expiration

I have a day spa package gift certificate; can I split it into 2 days? Yes. Package gift certificates may be split into multiple visits and services/treatments. Package gift certificates may not be redeemed for cash.

Is it possible to request a male or female service provider? To make your spa visit more comfortable, Spa LaPosada will fulfill a therapist gender request whenever possible. If you do have a male or female preference, we suggest that the request be made at the time of booking your spa reservation.

What should I discuss with my therapist before a treatment? When you arrive at Spa LaPosada, before any treatments, you will be asked to complete a Health Profile. This is a standard form and is designed to get an understanding of any medical conditions, injuries, skin conditions, mobility limitations, etc. that might need to be taken into consideration for a treatment. Complete and thorough responses are appreciated, as this allows us to provide you with the best level of service to meet your needs.
Please be sure to inform your therapist of any inflamed joints or muscles. These should be avoided during massage. Also, please inform your therapist of any discomfort or concerns during a treatment.

Can I wear make-up after a facial? Wearing make-up after a facial shouldn't cause any problems. Depending on the type of facial you are receiving, consult with your esthetician about any post-facial precautions.

Is it OK to go in the sun after a facial? Always consult with your esthetician after a facial treatment about any post-facial precautions – the skin is delicate after extractions and exfoliations and it is wise to limit sun exposure for at least a few hours after a facial.

Should I shave before a salt scrub? Shaving exposes new skin and can leave the skin feeling sensitive. The salt used in a salt scrub, although gentle, may cause skin irritation so it is recommended that you refrain from shaving within 24 hours of a salt scrub treatment.

Does medication affect waxing? Yes, You cannot be waxed if you are taking the following medications, acutane, retina, or antibiotics. These medications will compromise the integrity of the skin. You need to be off acutane for a complete year before waxing is advised. You need to stop applying Retin-A to area that you want wax a month before your service. With antibiotics you need to have finished your prescription three weeks prior to waxing.

Is it really important to drink a lot of water after a treatment? Yes, it is important to stay well-hydrated before and especially after a spa treatment. Most treatments trigger improved circulation and stimulate waste removal from the body. Water can aid in this process and will help alleviate any inflammation, especially after massage therapies. Water will also help restore your energy after spa treatments.
